Honestly, the hardest thing about this project was figuring out how to put each piece on. I don't think I've got it quite right, my braids seem to be too big, and too far back, and I need better pins (my sewing pins aren't really long enough). Also, I don't think my wimple is supposed to be so foofy looking. But all that can be improved with practice.
The Challenge: Accessories
Pattern: none, though I got rough dimensions of each piece from Neulakko's 'How to Wear a Veil'
Year: to go with my red and blue medieval dresses, so late 1300's to early 1400's
How historically accurate is it? The material is cotton, whereas a fine linen (I think) would be more appropriate, but I am pleased with the drape and look.
Hours to complete: I only had to hem the sides, so about 5 hours for both pieces.
First worn: Just photos so far.
Total cost: I picked up the muslin for about $3 per meter, so only $5.
